Join the LSUS Team for a Community Cleanup!
The LSUS Alumni Association has registered a team for this year's Double-City-Wide Cleanup. Our team will clean the Duck Pond area at East Kings Hwy Park on Saturday, April 12th, from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. We encourage wearing wet-weather shoes, as conditions may be damp. All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and will be given a safety vest, bags, and gloves for the cleanup.
After the cleanup, we’ll head over to Fair Grounds Field (2901 Pershing Blvd) from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM for lunch, trash weigh-ins, and team awards. Both small and large groups that collect the most estimated weight of litter will be rewarded with cash prizes! Groups are encouraged to collect aluminum cans separately while picking up litter. The team that gathers the most cans wins, and you’ll keep 100% of the cash generated from all the aluminum collected!
